Our History

1993 – Company founded by Kirby Sims with focus on corporate and promotional apparel
1994 – Begins development of national distribution programs
1996 – Offered in-house production services and began building strong offshore alliances to reduce costs and increase quality of products
1997 – Customer demand required the offering of promotional products and the “single source solution” concept is created
1998 – Designed and launched the first national online company store for Atlanta-based Home Depot
1999 – Ceased wholesale services to focus on direct apparel and promotional products sales
2000 – Built professional sales force to service national program accounts
2002 – Richard Sosebee and Fred Hill, our finance and operations partners, join HPI Direct to manage our rapid growth
2003 – Launched proprietary web site for supplying apparel and promotional products merchandise with cutting edge service technologies and 24/7 access
2004 – Received 2003 Spirit Award for Sixth Fastest Growing Company from ASI as recognition for outstanding achievement in our industry
2005 – Purchased a 50,000 square foot facility due to rapid growth in large client programs
2006 – Recognized as the Third Largest Identity Solutions Firm in Georgia according to Atlanta Business Chronicle
2008 – Purchased adjoining acreage and expanded our facility to 80,000 square feet
2010 – Won 2009 Univator Award for Program Design and Service from Made to Measure Magazine for our apparel program designs for the Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit Roller Coaster at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida
2011 – Won 2010 Univator Award for Uniform Program Innovation from Made to Measure Magazine for our specialized uniform redesigns for Frontier Airlines ramp personnel
2012 – Awarded the 2012 Univator Award (third year in a row) for innovation in uniform design for the Hard Rock Cafe whose rebranding initiative required fabric-level recreation to provide textured, fashion-forward pieces with uniform-quality durability
